The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today approved revision in the 100% Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Scholarships for Scheduled Tribe students. Financial assistance will be provided to those students who pursue recognised post matriculation courses in India in recognized institutions. The revision will be effected from 1.7.2010 with the following modifications:
(i) Revision of income-ceiling (of parents/guardians from all sources) from Rs.1.45 lakhto Rs.2.00 lakh per annum;
(ii) Regrouping of courses;
(iii) Revision of maintenance & other allowances as given below:
